Waiting 02:57
so i guess i’m waiting here, waiting until you appear but until then i’m focussing on everyone the guy that’s on his phone, the girl who stops to check her hair the little kid that stops to ask his mother why i’m standing there a petty little argument where fists were nearly thrown a busker plays a song that sparks a memory as it starts to snow so many people walking past this corner of the street i wonder where they’re going and then I wonder why they drag their feet time won’t wait for someone waiting but i’ll wait for you My heart will beat in time with feet that tap and trace the line I'm counting out the hours until you return

We’re taking off, but lets wait for one o’clock for cannon-fire and good old John Gray’s dog we’ll link arms through streets, tiptoe and creep searching for peace and quiet and open air under streetlights pause, to catch our breath and run because tripping over cobblestones is fun a city grown from boulders and stones a room of tragedy, sonnets and circuitry we’ve taken our hearts far off the grid the storm is close but i am the gold medal kid under streetlights pause, to catch our breath and run because tripping over cobblestones is fun i found the road. i found the road. i found the road. so take me home and the crime scene won’t dictate our journey at all our hope winds round everything we love so let’s throw our caution to those winds that howl at the moon is it strange that it’s the only way we knew (how to hide the blue) i found the road. i found the road. i found the road. so take me home

move in circles i won't cos all the oceans are my home move in circles, i won't in all this water i'm alone but it’s hard to justify the aftermath of existential thoughts when there’s a bloodbath when currents take me far from where I really want to be. when ‘Orca’ chases me across the sea that taste is salt and rust and fear for every landmark that sets me dreaming trace the shoreline searching for magnetic fields and for electric pulses and for a meal trace the shoreline searching for magnetic fields i’ll crawl the ocean so i feel so so small keep your distance or i’ll show you how my smile hides many rows of teeth
