lyrics

God I've been waiting for this morning all year long
All night I lie awake and anxious for the dawn
Visions of sugar-plums are dancing in my head
But I'm nestled safe and warm and snug inside my bed

Wake up it's Christmas morning, get out of bed
We've all got presents to unveil and wrap to shed

Snowflakes are all unique like mistakes i have made
Both scatter out in front with ordered disarray
Angels and children’s toys are singing this noel
But all i want to hear is the sound of those sleigh bells

Now Dasher, now Dancer, now Prancer and Vixen
On Comet, on Cupid, on Donner and Blitzen
To the top of the porch, to the top of the wall
Now dash away, dash away, dash away all

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear
But a miniature sleigh and eight tiny reindeer

Huge thanks to Adam, Aidan, Callum, Debbie, Lizzie and Tom for the extra vocal help!

Some lyrics were inspired by the poem "The Night Before Christmas" as my Mum would read this to me every Christmas Eve when I was a kid.
Soundclip was taken from Frank Capra's "It's a Wonderful Life" - the best Christmas film ever!

Please don't sue me.
